Founded in 1996 as COYOTE COMMUNICATIONS Inc., by Jeremy K. Jones, the company has seen many changes. From its inception, the company sought to assist small and medium sized business with their growing communications needs. "It is the smaller organization that is continuelly forced to do more with less, our products and services should assist them in doing just that", was the early company motto often heard from Mr. Jones.

With humble beginnings from a home based, independant telecom system service and repair company, growth came qucickly. After only four months of operation, the company was offered the exclusive distributorship of EXECUTONE products(Executone Informations Systems Inc. EISI)  for all of the Permian Basin. Executone invented the first intercom system for office use in 1936 and at the time was the second largest telephone system provider in its line size. Having four years previous experience installing and servicing Executone equipment for a former Executone dealer, Mr. Jones had strong believe in the design and quality of Executone products. In March of 1996 Coyote Communications was officially announced as the new Executone Representative for all of West Texas. To show their commitment to the new partnership and manufacturor, Coyote changed its name to EXECUTONE of West TX, Inc.

For four consecutive years, the company won awards for its excellence in customer service and for record settings sales. In 1999 a new change was again on the horizon. Executone the manufacturor was purchased by another industry leader INTER-TEL (NASDAQ INTL). At the time of the announcement the new combined Inter-Tel/Executone combination placed the company as the number one telecom hardware provider for its line size in the world!

Inter-tel brought in new technology, the convergence of voice and data. A new line of product offerings and backwards compatibility for older Executone telephones, made moving forward with Inter-Tel an exciting opportunity. In an effort to avoid consumer confusion, it was decided that all future products from the Inter-tel/Executone merger were to only use the Inter-Tel name. So again Executone of West Texas was due for a change.

A new identity was needed, one that combined the company's new belief in INTER-TEL, while maintaining its loyalty to the EXECUTONE name that had brought them so far. A name that united both the world of Telecommunications and Data Technologies. With new IP enabled products provided by Inter-Tel, the company begain asissting its clients with thier computer networking needs and as such, had become one of the larget providers of LAN/WAN cabling and accessories in West Texas.  A name was desired that would show their progressive movement into the INTERNET age, and combine thier strong background with DIALTONE...

Thus in 2001 Executone of West Texas became...

                                       INTER-TONE TECHNOLOGIES!
